Riga Sightseeing

Sightseeing in Riga could not be more enjoyable, with fine architecture, rich history, interesting museums and great culture to explore.

There are so many ways to enjoy sightseeing in Riga during your stay so we have compiled a list of things that you may wish to take advantage of. With public transport being so affordable in Riga, we advise that you should purchase a 24 hour transport ticket which you may use on the trams, trolley buses and buses. You will be able to reach many of the less explored parts of the city such as the Moscow district, Mezaparks (Forest park) or cross the river and discover Riga’s many beautiful wooden house districts.

Sightseeing on Foot will also not disappoint you. Old Riga, the Central district and the Art Nouveau district are all within walking distance and are best enjoyed at a slow pace. Early mornings are good to avoid the traffic and the other tourists!

Bicycles are also great for sightseeing, allowing you to cruise around between all the districts and go at your own pace. In recent years bike paths have made bike travel much safer and you can really get to some far-to-reach places, even out to Jurmala using the bike path network.

Cruising down the Daugava river on a boat offers a beautiful sightseeing adventure for you to enjoy. Looking at Old Riga from the outside in gives you a new perspective and will help you to get the most out of Riga. There are many offers for boats, from canal boats to large river cruises but if you are feeling really adventurous why not join us on one of our boat tours and have the luxury of a private boat!

Whatever you do, make the most out of sightseeing in Riga, whether by yourself or on one of our tours, we welcome you to Riga. Enjoy it!
