Art Deco cafe
This wonderful cafe, located just a stone’s throw away from Latvian parliament(you might run into a politician or two) brings authentic 1930s feel to Old Town of Riga. Story begins with Vilhelms Ķuze who was a Latvian chocolate producer starting out in the early twentieth century Riga. His chocolate businesses were thriving during the 1930s economic growth and this sort of historical atmosphere from the period is reflected in the original design, not a hint of following the latest trends, just pure old fashioned sophistication since 2004.
Here besides a coffee menu you’ll find other warm drinks and what might be the biggest reason for a visit – the sweets: 20 different types of chocolate truffles with various fillings is enough for anyone to choose. A great place to warm up during the winter, equally good for a slow coffee while reading a newspaper during the summer right off one of the main tourist trails of the city.
