A 2 hour bike ride will take you to one of the best beaches in Latvia – Jurmala. Following an old but sufficient bike path along the train line we will pass though Riga’s suburbs into the countryside, riding through forests and fields on our way to the beach, stopping at some interesting sights along the way.
Arriving in Jurmala, we’ll visit the smooth sandy beaches and find a nice spot to jump in the water. Visiting Jurmala by bike is fun, scenic and relaxing, the perfect way to see the best of Riga and Latvia on a warm day.

The Jurmala Beach Bike Cruise is the perfect tour for combining an exploration of Riga’s history and architecture with a fun and relaxing visit to the most popular beach in Latvia.
Starting in the Old Town, we’ll pass through a number of different districts, from the old wooden parts of the city, past rows of Soviet block apartments into the countryside, through forests, fields and villages until we reach Jurmala.
Once there, we’ll ride along the beautiful streets, past the grand wooden architecture and modern mansions and through the beachside forests before hitting the beautiful beaches. After taking a dip in the sea we can stop somewhere to lunch or continue riding!
You can also combine your Jurmala tour with a visit to the market in the morning on our food tasting tour to make the perfect beach picnic experience.
If you are too tired to make the ride home, it is also possible to take the bikes on a train back to Riga. A great way to see Riga’s suburbs and Jurmala’s great beaches!
