		<description>Nice article and a good question! I&#039;m actually really glad there are cats, not dogs on the streets in Riga, so there is no need to be scared :) 

What about dragons? There are soooo many dragons on buildings in Riga. For example, really impressive building on Barona street with a lot of dragons on it. Well, the story is quite similar as for The Cats House. Before the building on Barona street was built, there were other houses built by Germans and Russians, but not by Latvians on that part of Riga. When the Latvian built his house, others started to complain - his  house is not on the right place, it is covering daylight for other houses etc, so the owner put there dragons as a decoration of his house. Probably, that is one of important characteristics of Latvians - it they get the power, they want to show it. How do you think?</description>
